So Far, So Good

Today marks one week of my transition to my new meds. For the past week, I've been taking 1 of my Prozac pills (was originally on 2; two 20mg pills in the a.m) and 1 of my 10mg Cipralex (Lexapro), in addition to my regular 30mg of Adderall in the a.m and two 5mg of Dexedrine in the early afternoon to prevent burnout. So far, it's been smooth. I still get an afternoon crash from my ADHD meds, but not as bad or for as long with the additional 10mg of Dexedrine. I'm really hoping that when I have to replace my 2nd Prozac pill with my 2nd Cipralex pill, I won't get too drowsy. I don't think I will as I have been on Cipralex before, and if anything, I find the Prozac makes me more drowsy, but we'll see. I'm really hoping this will be a good combo for me as the process of going off and going on another is, well, a process, and it takes a lot longer to find if the new medication is working because the old one is still in your system for a bit.

I do think the prozac was the culprit in my weight gain as in the last few days I've had no urge to binge eat, overeat or crave sugar. It's weird because when I first started Prozac I lost weight, but then started gaining as the dose went up (one of the main reasons I wanted to revisit the Cipralex, as I was able to lose and maintain a healthy weight on it. I feel since November of 2025 I've just been ballooning up even though I'm eating healthier and more regularly and way more active than I was. If anything, I should be losing, but I'm not, so we'll see what happens!
