Currently, I am just a bit frustrated. I had recently decided to get back into my website design/graphic design hobby and actually completing and to maintain the site as I never had been able to. I was doing great, yes there's still things to do and things I need to freshen up my knowledge regarding certain things but that being said, I was almost done with the overall design and only had a couple content related things to add. I was proud, especially since I started this blog, my design blog and my Tumblr at the same time and have been keeping them up to date as much as possible.
However, earlier today as I was putting the last touches on my site, I don't know wtf I did but everytime I would try to visit the site or any other page on the site nothing would come up. I should mention that the hosting provider is free so I am limited to what I can and can't do. I spent hours on the user forums, googling, nothing that was suggested to me worked. If anything just made things worse. I finally said screw it, and decided to start over again which I was not pleased about because it took a bit of time designing, coding, adding content and I didn't want to do that again. So, I decided to just use my FTP software to transfer my site files to my computer to use on the next site. Well, even though my free provider had an ftp username and password for me to use, apparently you need to upgrade and actually pay just to transfer via FTP. That wasn't going to happen.
It took most of my day but I managed to download my site content another way and then deleted everything off the server. It was a crappy situation but I managed to get all my content back so I consider it a win. Not only that, now it'll be much more easier to get everything up and running.
