I've discussed in previous posts about shopping at dollar stores to save a few bucks, which is great but unfortunately dollar stores can't be the only places to shop and save money. One of the things I love about shopping from this money saving company is that it's online. Nobody loves online shopping than me. It has to be a fact somewhere, haha. I dread going into department stores, crowds of people, pushy sales people, ect. No thank you! I'm definitely an online shopper and my most frequent place to shop, well, Amazon of course!
I could go to list the many great things I love about Amazon, but thats not what this post is about, right?! Now, this little cash saving tip does require a little research if your looking to save money but I just look at my local online flyers. Why? Price compare. I've realized there are actually incredible deals on Amazon that pop up once in a while for items such as, brand name beauty, every day house hold essentials (in bulk), bedding, fans, heaters, storage..I could go on.
I'll give you an example of what kind of savings we are talking about.
The specific shampoo and conditioner I use cost $14.99 (CAD) before taxes per bottle so if I bought them at a department store I'd be dishing out over $30(CAD) just for shampoo and conditioner. However, Amazon sells the shampoo and conditioner together so I added it to my wishlist. A couple weeks later I noticed the price dropped and for the pair sold together it was $17.99(CAD). Now I save a little over $10(CAD) on shampoo and conditioner. I now also get my toilet paper from Amazon as well.
There you have it, another little tip. I hope someone can make good use out of it. You'd be surprised at what you can get and how much money you could save ditching the department store for Amazon!
